Dancer Guidelines

Clothing: Costumes are encouraged.  Please ensure costumes are appropriate. 

NO WARDROBE MALFUNCTIONS!!!

Dance: Dancers may choose their own style of dance.  All dances should be 2-3 minutes long.  You MUST take responsibility to make sure your music is edited and given to our event DJ on a CD by July 23rd.

Participants: Each dance can be couples or a group ensemble. Contestants must be at least 21 years old.

Judging:  Will be based on Skill, Creativity and Entertainment Value by three selected judges.  Additional judging will be provided by the audience by donations to add to the official judging skills.  So the more people you have there supporting your $ votes and the skills, creativity and entertainment value…the more likely you will win.

Prize/PR:  Media Press releases prior to the show with dancer names and sponsors.  Media Press releases after the show will feature dancer names, sponsors and pictures of event.  Trophies will be provided based on several categories.

Dance Team Sponsorship: Sponsorship to participate is $125.00 per dance group or the purchase of a table (10 seats) for $500.00. Five hundred-level sponsors have the opportunity to make and donate a themed centerpiece for their table. Centerpieces will be auctioned-off at the event.

Dress Rehearsal:  There will be a dress rehearsal the morning of the event at the Holiday Inn.  Rehearsal time will be set at a later date.

Tickets:  ticket price is $45.00 each. Each Dance Team sponsored at the $125.00 level will receive 2 complimentary tickets,

Release Form: A legal release form MUST be signed by ALL dancers prior to the dress rehearsal.
